Project Management
At glorious we understand market demands for shorter product development times. All Toolroom projects are carefully planned and managed to ensure quality tools are delivered to our customers 'right first time' in the shortest time possible. Customers are kept up to date with project progress via regular updates from our Project Managers.
Product Specification
Expertise in both moulding and mouldmaking enable us to give customers the best advice on material selection and product design. Using a 'design for manufacture' approach, expertise from all our departments can be sought to ensure that the final part specification is both mouldable and affordable. Customers can verify designs prior to tool design via realistic 3D CAD and CNC machined models.
Tool Design CAD/CAM
Our experienced tool designers use the latest CAD technology to construct computer models of components & generate detailed mould designs. Using Unigrahics, Auto-Cad for CAD/CAM tools we can import existing 2D/3D data, build 3D surface/solid models, find cavity/core split lines and produce computer models for CNC machining. Using a concurrent engineering strategy, CNC cutter paths can be calculated and output to our high speed mills for electrode manufacture or direct core/cavity milling while our designers are completing detailed mould designs.
Tool Manufacture
All of our skilled craftsmen are time served injection mould makers. Between them they have years of mould making experience. We have also invested heavily in modern toolroom technology such as high speed mills and Electric Discharge Machine. This combination of traditional and modern mouldmaking skills together with the latest hi-tech equipment ensures that we can take on any toolmaking challenge.
Tool Modification and Repair
Having our own production moulding shop we understand the need to minimise downtime by having mould repairs and modifications carried out as quickly and efficiently as possible. Our vast experience in this area enables us to provide cost efficient quality solutions. All tools are trialed before they are returned to customers to guarantee trouble free operation.
